Translation Phase finished!
August 12th, 2012 by aquagonHello, everyone!
I know it has been some time since the last post, but now, I’m pleased to announce that every single bit of text in the game has been retranslated! That is, the longest phase of the project has finally reached its end!
Now, we have to do some reviewing, consistency checks and finally, beta testing, but hopefully that shouldn’t take nearly as long as the translation itself had, so hopefully, it won’t take other year for the project to finally reach its conclusion.

I have been waiting for years to replay AT2, purposely putting it on the backburner until I could use your localization. Thank you so much for all your hard work.

Glad to hear that you guys are still working on it. Just a question through, will the final patch be compatible with the undub that is floating around the net or are we stuck with horrible us voices? Other than that, keep up the good work and i hope you all have a peaceful live.

Thanks to everyone for your comments and support!
@Peace: That’s the intention, or remake the undub ourselves if making both compatible turns out to be too complicated, as the changes we’ve made in the script make the dub obsolete (and I prefer to not comment on its quality to avoid causing a flamewar here).

I have no idea of what it’s like to have worked at this. I loved this game. And I hear you’ve made it better. So thank you all.

I’m a bit late, but thank you so much for making it this far. I’m really looking forward to playing this game the way it was meant to be played.
Also thanks for going the extra mile to make the undub work.

Amazing! I just discovered the game last year, and had been putting off a second playthrough. You guys kick ass!

Congratulations and thank you for the hard work.
The following request may sound a little random but maybe this is the right place to ask:
You guys are big fans of Ar tonelico and eloquent in japanese,
have you ever considered translating the Ar tonelico novels?
There aren’t any fan translation projects whatsoever online,
and I personally think that the novels are a great addition to the franchise. (Especially the two volumes which play right after the events of AT3 are said to be a “must-read”)
I haven’t read the novels myself, as I don’t speak japanese, but many fans who read the books claimed that they were all great and worth the time
I hope that I was able to stir your interest
as I’d love to read a high-quality translation made by you
sincerely incko

@incko: Thanks for your support.
As for the light novels, unfortunately we can’t undertake any projects until we’ve finished the retranslation. Additionally, while I do have plans to translate them as a personal project, but that will have to wait until I have finished up some others I’m working in at the moment. However, you can find a summary for the events that take place in them in the A Reyvateil’s Melody forums. I hope this serves you of help.

Thanks that’s exactly what I wanted to hear.
But I guess it will take some time until you have finished everything else and can start working on the novels,
but that’s okay: Waiting for the retranslation patch to finish has made me incredible patient (j/k)
Anyway, thanks for the positive response
sincerely incko

Hey I just found out about this awesome project. Thank you guys so much for doing this for the sake of Gust fans in America <3 I too felt like I was a victim of not so quality done work when I picked up Ar Tonelico II. So yeah, I am sooooooooo grateful =D

I’m eagerly waiting for the completion of the re-localization! Having stumbled through the nisa english version and played the japanese version with my limited understanding, it’s like a dream come true to have so much effort put into making this story available in english as it should be.

Maaaaan, i can’t wait. Thank you so much for this. Any updates on how goes it? D:

Soo where is it? Please I need it
January 12th, 2013 at 3:28 pm
Just letting you know the retrans is still very active. Just because the updates here might seem slow doesn’t mean the project is dead. The latest posts in the discussion/project date January 9 and January 11. so it’s still going strong. I hope you can hold out a bit longer.
Thanks for the support.

Okay man, thanks for the heads up. Looking forward to it!

Glad I noticed this. Just finished the first one… but I’m gonna hold off on playing Ar Tonelico 2 until this is finished

Just for the record, about how much longer do we have to wait for the patch? I am not exactly in a hurry, but it HAS been more than six months since “(…) the longest phase of the project has finally reached its end’”…

Where is the ISO?
March 13th, 2013 at 3:15 pm
An eight month wait between being “finished” and being “released” is kind of excessive. What’s the hold up?
